Leslie has worked for 33 years as an educator in Stafford County, Virginia. She has taught K-1 (multi-age), 2, and 4th, and retired as a reading specialist. Leslie has worked at the same school for her entire career and loves working with kids and adults! She specializes in Professional Development; having worked as a FOSS consultant for 11 years and is a Jan Richardson consultant as well. Leslie worked with Jan and Ellen Lewis to implement RISE when it was still in the beginning stages. She has field-tested books, hosted many schools for RISE visits, and collaborated with Scholastic to film for the RISE kit at her school. She has a Masters in Science Education and is Certified as a Reading Specialist in Virginia.
